Giant Starburst Candy, How to make Giant Starburst!

I love Starburst candies, but they are just too small. I found myself wishing they had a large bar type version. So I decided to make it myself. I started with a 41oz bulk pack from Wal-Mart and a bar pan. So total investment was about 15 bucks for this experiment.

First I opened up all the little candies and crammed them into the non stick bar pan I bought. We made some all one flavor, and also mixed up a few. Sticky hands!

Next was heating the oven to 200 and slowly melting them all. It took about 40 minutes, then I got the pan, let it cool on the counter, then after 5 minutes put it in the fridge to chill for an hour or so.

I pulled the pan out of the fridge and turned it upside down on the counter to pop the big squares out. It was a little bit of a pain, but they finally popped out by pushing on the middle of the pan squares, they literally popped out.

Then I wrapped them up in wax paper and put them back in the original bag. Tasty now I have what I wanted! Starburst bars!
